Transition and Commercial Negotiation Services
Our client required support to negotiate a depot transition and ensure the replication of vital facilities in other locations. Consulting Stream led the development of a substantial engineering and operational study, led the negotiations and developed detailed plans and contingency plans to accommodate any delay in the construction. Consulting Stream brokered a deal with HS2, Department for Transport, Network Rail and GWR, this ensured successful handovers of the programme Phases, as well as the continual operation of the full GWR service throughout the period.
Franchise Bid Support Services
This major train operating company (TOC) wanted to target a number of rail franchises in the UK in order to grow their business. Consulting Stream was engaged to produce compelling proposal material setting out the approach to be taken in franchise to deliver substantial change programmes. Bids were submitted on time, with the GWR Direct Award bid submitted in 2014 resulting in an extension to the franchise period.
Commercialising IT and Training Services
Our client was the successful consortium bidder to provide the UK Ministry of Defence with defence technical training in a £14bn government PFI contract. After an initial review phase Consulting Stream were asked to lead the ICS/ICT component of the programme. They were the key point of integration of the hard/soft facilities management, training delivery and training management technology solution.
Evaluating Options for BPO Proposition Development
This major telecoms software vendor wanted to explore how it could extend its services to include business process outsourcing. After conducting some initial market research, the vendor identified a number of potential opportunities to provide customer support to its service provider client base. The organisation however was not experienced in creating or delivering outsourced customer support services.
Sourcing and Delivering Next Generation Network Technology
Guardian News and Media (GNM), publishers of the Guardian, Observer and network of Guardian Unlimited websites were moving into a new office in Kings Cross. The new office was to house GNM’s editorial and operational staff, as well as their primary data centre. The transfer to the new site required step change to the provision of voice and data networks, as well as contracting for external data centre hosting.
